Get Healthy Now With Taziki’s: A Note From The CEO

At Taziki’s we’re always looking to step into a healthier lifestyle and the New Year is the perfect opportunity to recommit to all the elements of getting healthy, including diet.

In my experience, a healthy lifestyle starts with inner peace (grounded psychology and spirituality) and physiology (breathing and exercise). Yet, with a quick Google search, you can find articles highlighting why diet is far more important than even exercise when it comes to losing weight. The average person burns between 5% - 15% of daily calories through exercise, which is small in comparison to the food our bodies intake for energy at each meal.

One of our corporate team members Sam Stamps, shared her story, “Calories Aren’t Everything” including how she embraces the healthy lifestyle in her own life. Sam elaborates on how she changed her approach when it comes to calculating calories which helped her lose 30+ pounds!

At Taziki’s we understand that a healthy lifestyle is tied to the table. Whether you are dining in or taking out, we have nutrient dense food constructed to give you energy throughout the day while keeping you full and satisfied. My go-to dish is the Mediterranean Salad with Salmon. It’s so colorful and it has an amazing cravable flavor profile! And the generous portion always leaves me feeling full and ready to go!

This year, I’m committing to starting each day with prayer and mediation, exercising 30 minutes a day, and kicking off January with a modified “Whole 30” reset (internally I jokingly call it the “Whole 29”). After a year of boxing with Title Boxing (great workout), my wife and three energetic kids all joined me in a climbing gym membership and we’re already enjoying the challenge of scaling the walls together!
